Special People

…got reported to the Code Enforcement website that morning.

Here is a Nissan Frontier pickup truck with Texas license plate BTC 2811 violating two sections of TTC § 545.302 at once.

I don’t care if it’s raining.  I don’t care if you work there.  I don’t care if you are a regular supplier.  I don’t care if you think you are special.  If you are gimpy, get a handicapped placard and park in one of the adjacent legitimate Handicapped Parking spaces. This right here is bull[delted].

If you park in crosswalks, you suck.  If you park between the red line that says “NO PARKING EMERGENCY USE ONLY” and the curb, you have earned what happens to your car when a fireman needs to run a hose right through there.  This person managed to do both.

Texas Transportation Code –
§ 545.302. STOPPING, STANDING, OR PARKING PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN PLACES.

(a) An operator may not stop, stand, or park a vehicle:
<snip>
(4)  on a crosswalk;
(5)  between a safety zone and the adjacent curb <snip>
